Firm Announces the Launch of the “Long
Island General Counsel Network”
Mineola, January 2009 — Forchelli,
Curto, Crowe, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo and Cohn LLP, (The
Firm) is proud to announce the launch of the “Long
Island General Counsel Network (LIGCN),” an educational
and networking program for Long Island and NYC metro area
General Counsel and other in-house attorneys.
The LIGCN
held its first event – an interactive
seminar entitled “Real Estate Primer Part 1: Land
Use & Zoning and IDA Financings.” Approximately,
20 in-house attorneys were in attendance, including representatives
from some of Long Island’s leading companies. Managing
Partner Jeffrey D. Forchelli and Partner Judy Lynn Simoncic
led the discussion on Land Use & Zoning, and Partner
Daniel P. Deegan spoke on IDA Financings. Partners Barbara
Shaheen Alesi and Joseph V. Cuomo (also the founder and
director of the LIGCN) served as moderators. Based on the
success of this first program, the Firm plans to have additional
programs throughout the year.
