JAMES E. CANTANNO JOINS The Firm
AS PARTNER
Mineola, October 05, 2002 — Attorney James E. Cantanno,
a resident of Massapequa Park, NY and previously a partner
of the Jericho-based law firm, Ricca & Donnelly, P.C.
(R&D), has been named Partner of the law firm Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana, LLP
following that firm’s acquisition of R&D. R&D’s
15-member firm moved into The Firm’s offices at
330 Old Country Road, Mineola, New York, on the first of
this month.
Cantanno embarked on his career in the field of experimental
biology upon graduation from the College of the Holy Cross
where he received his B.A. in Psychology/Pre-Medical. He
switched to law, earning his J.D. from St. John’s
University School of Law, and with admittance into practice
in the State of New York, joined the R&D law firm as
an associate. After a brief hiatus as in-house Associate
Counsel for CFS Bank where he oversaw the origination and
closing of mortgage loans, he returned to R&D and became
partner in 2001.
At R&D, Cantanno carried forward the firm’s concentration
in the practice areas of banking and real estate, representing
lenders and individuals in both commercial and residential
real estate matters.
