ATTORNEY JUDY SIMONCIC OBTAINS ZONING
RENEWAL FOR HIGH TOWER COMMUNICATIONS
Mineola, November 09, 2002 — Judy Simoncic, Esq, an
associate at the Mineola-based law firm, Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana, LLP,
successfully represented High Tower Communications before
the Town of Brookhaven Zoning Board of Appeals in obtaining
a permanent renewal of a special use permit for the company’s
350-foot radio tower based in Selden, New York.
According to Simoncic, the radio tower serves commercial
users such as WBLI 106.1, as well as public service users,
including Stony Brook University, Coram Fire Department
and Sacred Heart.
“The Town’s decision to grant a permanent renewal
of this special use permit will allow High Tower Communications
to continue to support local radio transmissions forever,”
stated Simoncic. After appearing for the third renewal in
the last 10 years on behalf of her client, Simoncic in an
unprecedented decision obtained a permanent special use
permit form the town.
“The team at Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino
& Cohn, LLP, led by Judy Simoncic, facilitated an essential
permit for High Tower Communications,” noted company
president, Joseph Rose. “We have been using the firm
for the past 10 years because of its reputation in matters
of land use and zoning.”
