Issue of Long Island Business News
Mineola, March 10, 2004 — Managing partner, Jeffrey
D. Forchelli, is featured in the latest issue of Long Island
Business News, along with partner Terence E. Smolev, in
an article discussing the various ways attorneys show support
to their alma mater.
Having recently endowed a chairmanship in his name at Brooklyn
Law School, Forchelli explained, "[It] establishes
a family legacy that reflects my own, my fathers, my uncle
and now my daughter's pursuit of the profession through
studies at Brooklyn Law School."
Forchelli concentrates on complex real estate and land use
matters including litigation and tax certiorari for major
real estate developers and national corporations.
Terence E. Smolev, partner-in-charge of the firm's Tax,
Trusts, and Estates Division is noted for playing an active
role at his alma mater, Hofstra University, where's he been
a member of the board for 12 years.
"It was a home away from home, a place that I continue
to enjoy being at," said Smolev who was an adjunct
professor for more than 25 years in the areas of accounting,
business and tax law, and estate planning.
