Richard A.
Blumberg, Esq., Named Partner at The Firm
Mineola, January 10, 2005 — Jeffrey D. Forchelli,
managing partner of the Mineola-based law firm, Forchelli,
Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn LLP (The Firm),
has announced that Richard A. Blumberg has been named partner
at the 40-attorney firm founded in 1976.
Blumberg, a resident of Melville, joined The Firm in
1998 on the occasion of merging with William S. Cohn’s
firm to create Forchelli, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino &
Cohn LLP. (The firm merged again in 1999, creating the name
it bears today.) Blumberg, who had worked several years
with Cohn prior to the merger, brought his expertise in
civil litigation to the firm’s practice areas of real
estate and land use and zoning.
In making the announcement, Forchelli described Blumberg’s
contributions to the firm: "Richard is highly regarded
by both our clients and others in the profession for a keen
grasp of zoning issues, particularly commercial claims.
He is an asset to the firm and to our future.”
A member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Blumberg
earned his J.D. at The John Marshall Law School, where he
was editor of the distinguished The John Marshall Journal
of Computer and Information Law.
"The Firm has grown to be a regional leader and
I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in significant
and complex litigation matters,” noted Blumberg. “It
is an honor to become partner.”
