S. Arthur Receives SCOPE Education Services School Board
Award of Excellence
Mineola, April 10, 2005 — At its Annual School Board
Forum and Awards Ceremony earlier this month, SCOPE Education
Services (Smithtown, NY) recognized Warren S. Arthur, a
resident of Northport, NY, and a partner at the Mineola-based
law firm of Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino &
Cohn LLP (The Firm), with its prestigious School Board
Award of Excellence.
SCOPE Education Services is a not-for-profit education corporation
founded in 1964 by school superintendents as a cooperative
venture for sharing resources to deal with common concerns.
Each year, Long Island school superintendents nominate a
distinguished individual in the field of education for the
School Board Award of Excellence. Arthur was nominated by
Dr. William J. Brosnan for his contributions as president
of the Northport-East Northport School Board.
“Warren Arthur has been committed to furthering the
educational advantages for all students in the Northport-East
Northport school district,” noted Dr. Brosnan.
At The Firm, Arthur concentrates his practice in tax
certiorari and is active in professional associations, including
the New York State Bar Association and the New York State
Assessor’s Association. He and his wife, Diane, raised
their two children in Northport where they attended public
schools in the Northport-East Northport School District.
