Mongioi Spends Summer Preparing for Career Awareness programs
at Deer Park Schools
Mineola, June 07, 2005 — School is out for summer,
but North Babylon resident Mary Mongioi, an associate at
the Mineola-based law firm of Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz,
Mineo, Carlino & Cohn LLP (The Firm), isn’t
on recess.
A member of the Deer Park Schools/Industry Partnership Program,
Mongioi volunteers her time to present career-oriented programs
for middle and high school students in the Deer Park Schools
District.
This spring, Mongioi presented a 40-minute program at the
Robert Frost Middle School Career Awareness Day and Deer
Park High School that highlighted elements necessary to
a successful career, from emphasis on education and training
to the commitment needed to achieve on-the-job satisfaction.
“Deer Park students are a joy to engage – they
are career oriented and ask questions that indicate a perceptiveness
about how to integrate work and life pursuits,” stated
Mongioi. “I look forward to my return engagement and
with my training as a teacher, quite prepared to be in “summer
school” to work on improving my presentation for this
coming year. I see a future generation of well-prepared
scientists, nurses, teachers, and of course, attorneys!”
A cum laude graduate of the English Department at Wagner
College with a minor in secondary education, Mongioi earned
her J.D. at Hofstra University School of Law. At The Firm,
she concentrates her practice in real estate, trusts and
estates, and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
She is an Adjunct Professor in the Business Department of
Touro College School of General Studies.
