Partner Anthony B. Barton Discusses
Construction Warranties in the Latest Issue of Long Island
Business
“Warranties can make a world of difference”
by Claude Solnik, 11/16/07
Mineola, November 16, 2007— Partner Anthony B. Barton
is featured in the latest issue of the Long Island Business
News offering insight on importance of construction warranties.
In the article, Mr. Barton explains that there are often
disputes between manufacturers and installers, “One
of the biggest problems is everyone’s pointing the
finger at someone else. Your air condition doesn’t
work. The manufacturer says it wasn’t installed right
and the installer says the product was broken.” He
recommends that mediation methods be included in contracts
to resolve any potential disputes.
Mr. Barton began his career as a special assistant in the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He was
a partner and a member of the executive committee of a New
York City law firm, where his practice focused on corporate
and commercial matters and involved numerous securities
offerings. In 1991, he joined Curto, Barton & Alesi,
P.C., which merged with FSMC&C in 1999. Mr. Barton continues
to concentrate his practice in corporate and commercial
law, securities and real estate projects.
