Alesi, Partner at Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo,
Cohn & Terrana LLP was selected as a “Fifty Around
Fifty,” by Long Island Business News.
Ms. Alesi was
selected because of her leadership in business, mentoring,
support for Long Island’s not-for-profit
organizations and commitment to the community. Barbara
S. Alesi concentrates her practice in corporate and commercial
matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial
real estate transactions, private placements of securities
and mortgage and asset-based financing.
She is a member of both the New York State
Bar Association, where she has been a guest speaker on
the topic of "Forming
and Advising Business Entities," and the Nassau County
Bar Association, where she serves on the Corporation Law
Committee. She has served as Chair of the North Shore Animal
League America President’s Advisory Board and as
a member of the Advisory Board of Chicago Title Insurance
Company. Ms. Alesi has served as an Executive Board member
of the National Association of Women Business Owners-LI
Chapter and on the membership committee of the Executive
Women’s Golf Association, Long Island Chapter. Her
article, “Potential Tax Pitfalls,” was published
in the New York Real Estate Journal in 2008. She has been
recognized in many Long Island Business News’ listing
including Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business (2001),
Who’s Who in Women in Professional Services (2007)
and Who’s Who in Women in Corporate Law (2009).
