Forchelli Law Honored at
the Long Island Business News ‘Real Estate
Awards’ for ‘Top Office Lease of 2009’
Uniondale, April 27, 2010 —Forchelli,
Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana LLP
(the Firm) was honored by the Long Island Business
Newsfor ‘Top Office Lease of 2009.’
The Firm leased 35,000 square feet for its headquarters
at The Omni, located at 333 Earle Ovington Boulevard in
Uniondale, New York. The 11-year lease is to occupy the
top floor (10th fl.) of the 575,000 square foot building,
which is owned by RXR Realty. The Omni was selected by
the Long Island Business News as a one of the
Top 10 office buildings on Long Island.
Forchelli Law relocated in July 2009 from its prior location
in Mineola, New York. In the Fall, the Firm hosted its’ Grand
Opening party. Managing partner, Jeffrey D. Forchelli welcomed
the over 400 guests including the elected officials who
were in attendance at the event. One of the event’s
highlights was New York State Governor David A. Paterson
addressing the crowd. Said Forchelli, “After
an extensive site selection process, we determined that
The Omni provided the best opportunity for our expanding
operations. This relocation is a part of a long-term, cost-effective
approach to ensure our firm’s continued success and
growth in the region.”

as well as those in New York City,” said Ted Stratigos,
senior director of Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island,
and the broker who represented Forchelli Curto. “The
Omni was an ideal fit with the firm’s image, offering
an accessible location in a well-managed, building and
what is considered a trophy Long Island office building.”

existing needs, as well as allow for expansion space as their business continues
to grow,” said Ken Bauer, executive vice president of leasing for RXR. “The
Omni, built in 1996, offers tenants the benefits of a strategic location, combined
with the best amenities and tenant-directed service in one of the region’s
most desirable properties.”
Real Estate partner Brian R. Sahn oversaw
the firm’s
selection process, and Mr. Sahn and partner Barbara S.
Alesi, spearheaded Forchelli Curto’s lease negotiations.
The
new law office implemented the latest in design and conference
technology for law firms. In addition to
WiFi capabilities, the ‘Boardroom’ is equipped
with teleconferencing and video-conferencing technology.
Forchelli Curto contracted Innersite Interior, a commercial
interior design firm, and Innersite Home to maximize the
layout of the space and really draw in the impressive Manhattan
views which is a benefit from being on the top floor. Principals
James Acunto and Patricia D'Auria, and designer Jennifer
Lynch were instrumental in the space planning and architectural
details. Affirming a commitment to maintain an eco-friendly
presence, build-out of the turnkey space incorporated a
multitude of ‘green’ and sustainable construction
materials and techniques which were overseen by Laura Coletti
a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, LEED-
accredited architect. The eco-friendly programs included
registering the project with the U.S. Green Building Council
(USGBC) for LEED Certification.
