Barbara
Shaheen Alesi, Esq.

Barbara Shaheen Alesi (St. John's University School of
Law, 1982) began her career with a prominent Long Island
law firm. In 1991, she became a founding member of Curto,
Barton & Alesi,
P.C., which merged with the Firm in 1999.
Ms. Alesi concentrates
her practice in corporate and commercial matters, including
mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, private placements
of securities, and mortgage and asset-based financing.
She is a member of both
the New York State Bar Association, where she has been
a guest speaker on the topic of "Forming and Advising
Business Entities," and
the Nassau County Bar Association, where she serves on the Corporation Law Committee.
She has served as Chair of the North Shore Animal League America President’s
Advisory Board and as a member of the Advisory Board of Chicago Title Insurance
Company.
Ms. Alesi has served as an Executive Board member of
the National Association of Women Business Owners – LI
Chapter and on the membership committee of the Executive
Women’s Golf Association, Long Island Chapter. Her
article, “Potential
Tax Pitfalls,” was published in the New
York Real Estate Journal in 2008. She has been recognized in many
Long Island Business News listing’s including
Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business (2001), Who’s
Who in Women in Professional Services (2007), and most
recently, Who’s Who in Corporate Law (2009).
