Tony V. Curto's recollections of his client, Pulitzer
Prize winning author Alexander Solzhenitsyn, was the subject
of an article entitled “No Camp, Much Labor, When
Reading Solzhenitsyn,” in the August 8, 2008 edition
of the Long Island Business News.
Terence E. Smolev and Mary E. Mongioi authored
an article entitled “Rulings Highlight Interplay of
Family, Inheritance and Trust Principles” that was
featured in the September 2, 2008 edition of the New York
Law Journal.
Brian R. Sahn was a panelist at the Huntington
Chamber of Commerce's “Going Green” Symposium
at the Crest Hollow Country Club on September 17, 2008.

John V. Terrana was selected to present
the taxpayers’ view of the real estate tax certiorari
problem in Nassau County in a continuing legal education
program entitled “Nassau County Tax Certiorari: New
Developments” on October 6, 2008. The distinguished
panel of presenters included Nassau County Executive Thomas
R. Suozzi, Chairman of the Nassau County Assessment Review
Commission John Peguillan, and Nassau County attorney Lorna
Goodman.
Robert Chicco was cited as the defense
attorney for his clients Simon Schwartz and Theresa Otto
in an article entitled “The Board Decides” published
in the October 2008 edition of Habitat.

BRIAN HUFNAGEL AND KATHRYN SAMMON BURNS
Mr. Hufnagel, a graduate of Fordham University
School of Law, concentrates his practice in the areas of
bankruptcy and litigation. Previously, he was a trial attorney
with the Office of the United States Trustees, where he
worked on corporate and consumer bankruptcy cases, including
evidentiary hearings and trials.
Mrs. Sammon Burns, a graduate of St. John’s
University School of Law, concentrates her practice in real
estate transactions, including condominium and cooperative
law, and banking and finance. While attending law
school, Ms Sammon served as a law clerk with the Firm.
