Susan J. Deith (St. John's University School of Law, J.D.
2003) is an associate and concentrates her practice in
the in the areas of labor and employment law; sexual harassment
and discrimination law; overtime and failure to pay wages
law; union/management issues; trust and estates; wills;
immigration and naturalization; real estate; municipal
and zoning law; entertainment law; contracts and corporate
law. She has represented plaintiffs, defendants,
private corporations, New York State government entities
and local municipalities.
Ms. Deith is presently a member
of the New York State Bar Association and serves on both
their Committee on Law Youth & Citizenship and Special
Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. She
is also a member of the New York City Bar Association and
The Historical Society of the Courts of the State of New
York.
Ms. Deith is admitted to practice before the courts
of the State of New York; the federal courts of the Southern,
Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York; and
the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Ms.
Deith served as a member of the Incorporated Village of
North Hills’ Board of Zoning and Appeals from
1988 to 2004. She is also a past member of the Sid
Jacobson JCC Board of Directors and the Manhasset Afterschool
Xperience, where she also served as president.
At St. John's
University School of Law, she was Notes and Comments Editor
of the St. John's Journal of Legal Commentary; recipient
of the American Bar Association Certificate of Excellence
in Land Use Planning; the Center for Computer-Assisted
Legal Instruction (CALI) Excellence for the Future Award
in Appellate Advocacy; and was both an Academic Achievement
Scholar and a member of the Alexander Hamilton and Theodore
Roosevelt Inns of Court. Ms. Deith received her B.A.
from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Cum
Laude, majoring in English and Theatre.
